WORDS THAT HEART – Writing for wellbeing workshops exclusively for childless-not-by-choice people

***Before registering for one of our workshops, please ensure you have read and understood all the information on this page and on our FAQs page to make sure this is the right workshop for you.***

If you wanted children but were not able to do so for any reason, then you might have experienced some or all of the following emotions: grief; shame; fear and confusion; guilt; anger; jealousy; optimism; acceptance; healing.

Our writing for wellbeing workshops (generously supported by the Arts Council England) are for childless-not-by-choice people interested in using writing to help heal the pain and grief of involuntary childlessness. Through a series of specially designed writing activities the workshop will introduce you to tools you can use to explore your grief as well as activities to help you find happiness and envision a positive future.

You do not need to have any experience as a writer to take part in our workshops and all exercises will be suitable for writers at all levels of experience.

The workshops will introduce writing for wellbeing techniques in a safe, supportive environment where all participants and workshop leaders are also childless-not-by-choice. The workshops have been developed specifically for childless-not-by-choice people of all genders and will be delivered by facilitators with combined expertise in teaching writing and providing counselling services to people who are childless-not-by-choice.
